Exercising over Extinction

Have you ever felt the need to achieve that New Years Goal of eating clean, daily workout, and overall self care? In most cases everybody including me has set that goal, though we face many roadblocks along the way. Whether that be seasonal depression, a busy schedule throughout the week, or even procrastination, our mind may not send those signals to our body. Saying something compared to actually doing something is what sets humans apart from that picture perfect "before" and "after" photo. With the fall season among us, it can be really easy to delay the never ending cycle of bettering ourselves. There are numerous benefits of physical activity that most of us were taught in health class or a frequent visit at the gym. Endorphins are a hormone that stimulates positive reinforcement in our mind which helps us maintain motivation to keep pushing through despite the hardships of giving up and feeling sore. Another benefit comes from keeping yourself busy with hobbies such as reading/writing, sports, and social interaction. By always stimulating yourself to try something new or test beyond your limits, there is a key point to identify your strengths and weaknesses. I know it is easier said than done, but I personally feel that by obsessing or falling into the loop of inconsistency, we as humans miss out on this journey called life. May this come as a sign to start something or try something outside of your comfort zone. There is always room for self improvement as others, especially certified specialists will help guide you in that direction. Keep moving forward and remember... NOBODY IS PERFECT!!!
