Suffolk County Police arrested a 38-year-old Sayville man, Douglas Davis, Friday afternoon after he allegedly kicked in a door to an apartment on Greeley Avenue in Sayville and started a verbal confrontation with the two occupants.
After he allegedly kicked in the door, he confronted the two occupants and began a confrontation with them. Following the confrontation, Davis left the apartment, fleeing down Greeley Avenue. He stole a unoccupied vehicle that was parked in a driveway on Greeley Avenue and fled toward Sunrise Highway.
Fifth Precinct Patrol Officers located Davis on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst and placed Davis in custody. He was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm ghost gun with an extended magazine.
Fifth Squad Detectives charged Davis, with Burglary 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, and Possession of Stolen Property.
He was held overnight at the Fifth Squad and had his first court appearance on February 7 at the First District Court in Central Islip.
