Wishing to relive your childhood memories? Indulge in a batch of delectable homemade orange Creamsicle bars. These frozen bars are a breezy and refreshing dessert to beat the heat during summer days. You won't want to miss out on these yogurt-based orange bars, which are much tastier than store-bought versions. With homemade Creamsicles, it's up to you how much sugar you want to add without any incomprehensible ingredients. Despite initial perceptions, creating these frozen bars is incredibly easy and takes 10 minutes at most to prepare. After putting them in the freezer, wait until the next day to satisfy your tastebuds with a scrumptious warm-weather treat.
We achieved the best orange flavor by utilizing orange juice concentrate, although fresh orange juice could be substituted, it won't have the same intensity. For the classic orange color, a couple of drops of orange food coloring were added, but excluding it is an option. Red and yellow can be combined to obtain the desired color if orange food coloring is unavailable.
For a dairy-free or vegan alternative, heavy cream can be replaced with coconut milk and vegan yogurt. A natural sweetener substitute such as honey, a few tablespoons instead of sugar, can also be used.
Creamsicles can be kept in the freezer for up to 1 month, but remember that they may start to show signs of freezer burn after that time.
