Central Islip Man Arrested Following Road Rage Incident
Two drivers were traveling northbound on Broadhollow Road on December 13, when the men engaged in a verbal road rage altercation with each other.
Both men pulled over, and John Alston the third 50, of Central Islip attacked a 41-year-old from Massapequa. Following the incident, Alston fled the scene, and the other driver was taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, Alston the Third of Central Islip, was arrested on Park Avenue in Huntington on December 17 at 4:49 p.m.
Alston was charged with Strangulation 2nd Degree, and Assault 3rd Degree. He was held at the Second Precinct, and was scheduled to be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, December 18.
