Please know that if you have Finneas, he wants to come home. On the evening of May 5, 2025 he was sitting on his cat seat in the living room window. He loves to peer out through the screen to see what animals may come into the yard. On that night, something did come into our yard, which spooked him, and as he launched for it, the screen became loose and he fell out of the first floor window. We immediately started looking for him. 40 minutes later my husband spotted him under a bush in our backyard but because he was in survival mode when my husband attempted to get him, he ran off through our front gate. We searched throughout the night, every night and day. We called in the help of Long Island Search and Rescue, Teddy Henn and Charmaine DeRosa. They came right away and helped with the search to no avail. Two weeks later on May 12 at 2:30 am our front camera alerted and there he was walking, timidly across the front stoop. I went out looking for him, calling him with his treats, sitting on the front step wishing and praying he would just come back so I could bring him in the house bring him back to where he is so loved and so missed. We have done everything in our power to find him. We searched night and day for weeks and weeks on end. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t go to work for a month because I was so afraid to leave the house in case he showed up. I didn’t want to miss one opportunity of getting him back, the anguish of not knowing what happened to him is truly devastating. Please be my hero and help me find him.
