Suffolk County Police arrested a 37-year-old Mastic Beach Man for allegedly shooting and injuring two people in Mastic Beach on Monday night around 10 pm on Woodside Road.
A group of people were arguing in front of 96 Woodside Road when a man drew a handgun, and fired several shots at two of the people involved at approximately 10 p.m. The shooter fled on scene.
The victims, a 25-year-old man, and a 34-year-old female, were transported to local hospitals for treatments of non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, Police arrested Matthew McCue 37, of Mastic Beach. He's been charged with attempted Assault 1st Degree, and two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, along with Criminal Possession of a weapon 2nd Degree, and Reckless Enlargement 3rd Degree.
He was held at the first precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday June 3.
