Mastic Women Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident on Sunrise Highway Thursday Morning
Suffolk County Police are investigating a motor vehicle accident which occurred early Thursday morning, that seriously injured a 59-year-old women from Mastic and left another driver injured.
The 59-year-old women from Mastic was attempting to re-enter Sunrise Highway near Station Road in North Bellport, after she lost control of her vehicle and struck the median. The women attempted to re-enter Sunrise Highway when she was rear-ended by a 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by a 70-year-old man from Mastic.
The women was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in Serious Condition, and the male driver was transported to NYU Langone with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicles were impounded for safety checks, and anyone with information regarding this accident, is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-853-8552/
