Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing More than $400,000 from Employer in East Moriches

A  37-year-old Holtsville man was arrested Monday night, after he allegedly stole more then $400,000 from his employer, between the dates of April 9, 2020, to November 28, 2025. 

The owner of a business located on Frowein Road in East Moriches reported that one of his employees had embezzled money from his company between the dates of April 9, 2020 to November 28, 2025. The owner made the police report on December 3, 2025. 

After an investigation by Financial Crimes Unit Detectives, in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, it was determined that the employee, Anthony Fergusion had deposited more than 200 checks into his personal bank account totaling, $443, 841. 

Ferguson, 37, Wildwood Circle in Holtsville, was arrested, and charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, and Falsifying Business records 1st Degree. 

He is currently being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip, on May 12.
