31-Year-Old Beats Girlfriend To Death Outside Shirley Skating Rink, Police Say
A man who is 31 years old has been charged with manslaughter for supposedly killing his girlfriend by hitting her outside a skating rink in Long Island.
According to the Suffolk County Police, on May 11 in Jamaica, Queens, Oscar Morocho-Morocho was detained in relation to the passing of Ruth Marisel Parra-Martinez, who was 34 years old.
According to the police, both individuals did not have a home.
On the evening of May 7th, a woman's lifeless body was discovered at The Green outside Gr8skates skating rink in Shirley after being brutally attacked.
Police reports state that Morocho-Morocho viciously assaulted Parra-Martinez through a series of physical blows with his hands and feet, and subsequently contacted emergency services to notify them of her passing due to her injuries.
Police found him Thursday afternoon outside a car wash in Jamaica, Queens, and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree manslaughter.
The reason behind the alleged beating was not explained by the investigators.
Morocho-Morocho's arraignment was set to take place at First District Court in Central Islip on May 12th, Friday.
