QUEENS, NY – Authorities have arrested six individuals following a major drug bust on the Long Island Expressway in Queens. The arrests were made after a traffic stop of a truck revealed a large cache of illegal substances.
Police seized a significant quantity of cannabis, alongside other illicit drugs and vaping products from the vehicle. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the trafficking of illegal narcotics in the region.
This incident is the latest in a series of major drug seizures in and around New York City. Recent months have seen law enforcement agencies dismantle several drug rings, including a cocaine trafficking network in Suffolk County and a multi-million dollar bust in the Bronx involving illegal marijuana products. The recent operations underscore a continued focus on disrupting drug distribution channels that operate across Long Island, Queens, and other boroughs.
