Around 12:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the quartet's 2018 Jeep Wrangler near the intersection of Park Street and Ithaca Avenue, citing multiple traffic violations as the reason for the stop.

Upon approaching the vehicle, law enforcement officials reportedly observed the driver, 25-year-old Jessica Cruz from Valley Stream, tossing a switchblade. Simultaneously, the front passenger, 29-year-old Johnathan Faneytt, also from Valley Stream, was allegedly attempting to conceal something under his seat.

During a search of the vehicle, police discovered LSD, cocaine, and MDMA inside Jessica Cruz's purse.

Additionally, brass knuckles and more cocaine were found under the front seat, according to police statements.

All four individuals in the car, including back passengers Reggie Kelleher, 19, from Rockville Centre, and Jessica Herrador, 25, from Baldwin, were subsequently taken into custody.

Each individual involved in the incident was charged with two counts, specifically criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh and fifth degrees.

Jessica Cruz faced additional charges, including three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in higher degrees, along with multiple violations of vehicle traffic laws.

In addition to the charges previously mentioned, Johnathan Faneytt faces further legal repercussions, including an additional charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance and a charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
