Stabbing in Amityville Friday Night Leads to One Arrested, and Man Seriously Injured

A 33-year-old man from Bay Shore was arrested Friday night, after he allegedly stabbed a 65-ear-old man in the basement of a Church in Amityville. 

Daniel Escorbar, 33, from Bay Shore, allegedly stabbed a man in the neck during a meeting at First Methodist Church, located at 25 Broadway Street, and fled the scene, at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

Following an investigation by Fist Squad Detectives, Escobar 33, of Bay Shore was located on Ackerson Boulevard in Bay Shore where he was arrested at approximately 10:22 p.m.

Escobar 33, of Bay Shore, has been charged with 1st Degree Assault. He was held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, today, September 12.
