Police: Person barricaded inside East Farmingdale house taken into police custody

It has been confirmed by the Suffolk County police that an individual who had barricaded themselves inside a residence in East Farmingdale has been apprehended.

Streets surrounding the house were closed off by authorities for approximately one block in each direction.

It is uncertain whether hostages were present or if gunshots were discharged at any given time, according to the police.
