Long Island Man Accused Of Hitting Car While Driving Drunk With Child Passenger
A man from Long Island has been accused of drunk driving with a child in his car following his purported collision with an unoccupied car.
On May 2nd around 5:30 p.m., an occurrence occurred in Nassau County's Levittown area.
The Nassau County Police were informed of a vehicular collision on North Jerusalem Avenue, and dispatched officers in response to a 911 emergency call.
Police stated that Joshua Levy, aged 43 and a resident of Bellmore, had been driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue and collided with an empty vehicle parked in front of 3083 N Jerusalem Ave., upon their arrival.
Police conducted an investigation and arrested Levy peacefully. Additionally, his vehicle had his 9-year-old son as a passenger.
The mother received custody of the child.
No injuries were reported.
Levy was charged:
- DWI
- Aggravated DWI with a child passenger under the age of 16
- Endangering the welfare of a child
The arraignment of this person is scheduled to take place in Hempstead on Wednesday, May 3rd.
