PERFECT FAMILY PUPPIES 💕

Apply to Foster/Adopt today.

Little Buddy, Ruby, Taley are a few of the pups that arrived from South Carolina. ❤️

From Foster:

Three heeler mix pups. 2 female. One male. About 12 lbs. Just regular active pups. Nothing unusual. The black perky ears girl named ruby is the most laid back. High energy then napping. Just normal puppy stuff.

You will find it hard to separate them into an only canine home. They have always been together for each other. We're left in a box on a porch of abandoned house at 5 weeks. Malnourished and mangy. I have wormed 3x and boostered twice. They are now healthy and readybto find their forever homes.

VERY URGENT heartbreaking 💔 💔💔💔
Barley
…only 3 years old, to be destroyed at any moment. Mainly due to kennel stress… which isn’t his fault.. His owner is too sick to care for him, now he awaits death this holiday. Shelter recm no kids under 13, he’s said to be friendly to other dogs and even kids. Look at that sweet face! The shelter should be ashamed…. He’s currently at the Brooklyn ACC.. always SHARE the heck out of this.

YONKERS NY

Did you meet Dude ? he’s an amazing guy !! now at Friends of Yonkers Animal Shelter
He’s available for the first time today some of you saw him last Sundayvwhen he was discovered in a park in Yonkers just sitting and waiting
Waiting for us we think as he seemed happy to be here He’s only a puppy The shelter estimated him at around 10 months He’s a well built strong dog..Not sure of his make up but he looks to have some Boxer in him Hard to really say
Dude is very affectionate and just wanted to try and be a lap dog He didn’t know what a tennis ball was for but i’m sure he will learn
He met Mama and was apparently quite happy to meet another dog 😄

We really like Dude a lot and will be so happy if this young dog and people friendly dog can go home before the year runs out

*SHELTER PLEA* Cat | HANDSOME BOY TRIXIE IS HAVING THE WORST TIME AFTER BEING SURRENDERED DUE TO HIS OWNER MOVING AWAY :( PLAYFUL AND LOTS OF ENERGY IN HIS HOME . GET THIS SWEET BOY A NEW FAMILY TO GROW OLD WITH. WATCH VIDEO - https://youtu.be/eIlhT4qCggM 91+ Days in shelter!

Cute Tabby Boy TRIXIE Is Opening Up After Graduating from the Fraidy Cat Club! Client came to BACC to surrender his daughter's cat, Trixie. His daughter had moved away and left her cat.

Trixie is on the emergency placement list due to behavior. He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to his stress levels, it is in his best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. He would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers.

Please check here for updated adoption hours.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
I would do best in a home with only adult humans.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

TRIXIE 181791

2Y | Male | 8lbs | O/S

Hello, my name is Trixie. My animal id is #181791. I am a male brown tabby cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years 2 months 4 weeks old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 9/7/2023, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- kids not caring for animal.

****PLEDGE INFO ****

How does pledging work?

Pledging is a promise to pay for a particular animal in need. You can pledge any amount you like - every bit helps. Rescues depend on donations to help animals in their care with medical issues so your dollars support their ability to help ACC animals every day. Some of these animals end up with massive medical bills.

Why should you pledge?

A rescue may take notice to a particular cat with medical needs if there is rallied support around it. Due to the amount of sick animals coming from the ACC it is difficult to prioritize at times who they can help and who they cannot with massive veterinary bills. You should pledge because your dollar DOES COUNT to that animal!!!

How do you pledge?

To pledge you simply click on the animal's thread and go to their ORIGINAL THREAD in the album (not on our wall). You make a comment with your amount pledged - such as "$5" - and take note of the animal's location, A#, At Risk list date, and what you pledged.

When do you pay your pledges?

When the animal is updated as SAFE and in rescue, we will update the thread with the info we receive from them once we confirm the animal is indeed "SAFE". This may take a few days based on their schedule and the ACC's schedule. You can always bookmark the animal's thread to watch its status.

We handle the status of hundreds of cats on a daily basis so it is very hard for us to look up every cat you have pledged or watched. Please be proactive and bookmark or watch the albums so we can continue to focus on helping save lives.

* PLEASE NOTE * KITTENS under the age of 8 weeks or weighing 2 pounds or less CAN ONLY be PULLED by a RESCUE!!!! IF INTERESTED, PLEASE contact a RESCUE ASAP!!!
