Heavy Downpours, Damaging Winds Up To 60 MPH, Hail Are Main Threats From New Storm System

The upcoming cold front will set off a fresh series of thunderstorms that will cause heavy rain, gusts of wind reaching as high as 60 miles per hour, and small hail.

Possible storm activity could occur from the afternoon of Wednesday, June 14 through to the late evening of the same day.

On Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service released a Hazardous Weather Statement warning that any severe storms could bring with them powerful winds and destructive hail, both of which pose significant dangers.

The frontal system is anticipated to move towards the east-northeast beginning at noon on Wednesday and it is estimated that up to 0.5-0.75 inches of precipitation will result from it.

Thursday, June 15 is predicted to be the best day of the week with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s, following the passage of weather conditions by Wednesday evening.

The current weather will not endure as there is predicted unsettled weather for Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17.
