1 Charged With Gun Possession After Scuffle In Mastic Beach: Police
According to authorities, a physical altercation occurred between two men on Sunday night, during which one brandished a gun. Although no shots were fired, one individual sustained injuries during the altercation.
In Mastic Beach, NY, Suffolk police reported that a man was charged with gun possession after he was injured in a scuffle when he allegedly flashed a gun at another man on Sunday night.
During a physical altercation on Mastic Beach Road around 7:41 p.m., John Napierkowski waved a gun, according to police. Although he was not shot, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries "during the altercation" and was treated and released from a local hospital.
Police stated that Napierkowski, aged 37 and a resident of Mastic Beach, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
Police stated that the investigation is ongoing by 7th Squad detectives in Shirley. Further details were not available at the time.
