Near the coast of Long Island, a massive shark of a white color is causing a commotion in the water.
According to the Ocearch organization, Frosty, a 9-foot 2-inch, 393-pound shark, was detected heading south of Hampton Bays at 10:15 pm on May 13th.
Frosty's initial sighting occurred on Thursday, December 12th, 2022, off the shores of Georgia.
The shark in question is a type of Carcharodon carcharias, known by other names such as white shark, white pointer, and great white shark. Typically, great white sharks average a length of approximately 15 to 16 feet.
