Babylon Man Arrested for Road Rage incident in West Babylon Saturday Night
Suffolk County Police arrested a 37-year-old Babylon man today, following a road rage incident over the weekend that left a 51-year-old man seriously injured in West Babylon Saturday night. Two men got into a road rage incident on route 109 in West Babylon Saturday night around 8 p.m. Following the incident the two men exited route 109, and entered the parking lot in front of 90 Route 109.
The two men exited their vehicles, and engaged in an altercation. One of the men, Patrick Loughlin, 37, of West Babylon allegedly got back in his vehicle, and rammed the other man’s car three times, Loughlin eventually ended up running over the other man before fleeing the scene.
The 51-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.
Loughlin, 37, of Babylon was arrested Sunday night, and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct, and is scheduled to be arranged at the First District Court in Central Islip on October 21.
