Toku is honestly one of the greatest cats on this planet and we’re happy to snuggle him and kiss his face multiple times a day. 😂 The staff at the cafe fight over who loves him more, but the clear winner here is TOKU. However he’s still somehow looking for his forever home, he is the BEST snuggler on the planet. We’re opening tomorrow at 1 pm after a birthday party, so feel free to come visit Toku after and put in an application to bring him home. 😉
Sometimes we get a kitten at the cafe who we assume is going to go home immediately.. but then they stay at the cafe for weeks with little to no interest. 🥹 One of those kittens is Oreo who is about 8 months old and the sweetest thing on the planet. She has had interest but no one ever follows through and it hurts her feelings!! Good thing she knows we’re all madly in love with her. 💕 If you’re looking for a snuggly girl who is also independent look no further! We’re open 11-6 today for children and 11-8 for people 16 and older. Come enjoy quiet night with our 30+ (35 😬🫠) cats!
Cinder curled up into a little coconut shrimp of a ball and it is literally the cutest thing on the planet. She has been with us for a few months and is slowly getting more and more used to being pet by humans. Cinderella would LOVE to be in a home that has at least one other cat.
Zeke is 2 1/2 and the most entertaining guy, always up and ready to play with anyone who will play with him.
Teller is a year old and it’s baffling to us on why he is still here waiting for a forever home. He is beyond amazing with every single cat and human who comes in.
Joey is about a year old (which TECHNICALLY means he’s still a kitten btw) and has made a huge 180 since he first got here a few months ago. He is the silliest little thing and just wants to flip in your arms and be held like a baby.
And lastly is Ginger who is about 3 years old and as sweet as sugar! She is a little nervous at first; but honestly- who isn’t???? Ginger loves being pet and brushed. 💕 So if you’re looking to adopt PLEASE come into the cafe with an open mind. We can almost guarantee you’ll fall head over heels.
Checkout what a little love does!! BooBoo wouldn’t even show his face yesterday and look at him now!! Sometimes when cats hide we pull them out and force love onto them so they know we are safe! Some aren’t quite ready for that but we take each cat’s social cues into consideration. BooBoo is 9 and of course still confused and unsure but some petting and hugs helps him a TON!! He’s so gentle and doesn’t have one mean bone in his big orange body 🧡🧡
From owner of shabby tabby:
I have a thing for sad cats. I went to pick out a few at Almost Home yesterday and I just needed these 2. They are both from separate situations but both came from homes they’ve known forever and those homes were lost. It’s so sad to see how devastated they are and I just want them to know it’s ok, they’re loved, and it’s gonna get better. The black and white lady is Susie Q, and she’s a 14 year old angel who feels comfort in being held. The big orange and white boy is 9 year old BooBoo who was living in a car with his mommy for the last few months. They both accept love gracefully but the sadness is going to take some time to go away. They’d both do best in a home 💔
We’d like to introduce you to one of our newbies ✨CLYDE✨! He has been with us at the cafe for about a week now and he is honestly heaven on earth!!!
Clyde is 9 years old and found himself homeless when his elderly owner was put into a nursing home. He has SO much love to give and seeing him come out of his shell more makes us so happy. Clyde would LOVE to find his new forever home where he can live out his golden years. 😻 We’re open 11-8 tomorrow, Clyde and his new friends would love to see you!
Serious question. Why isn’t Baby adopted yet????? He’s everyone’s favorite when they come in because he begs for love, chirps all day, and is so genuinely nice to every cat and human than walks in. It’s officially “do you have any infant kittens?” season which means it’s also officially promote adults like crazy season. We will get kittens eventually but please give adult cats a chance. They were kittens once too and all the rage for adopters but yet here they are without a forever home.
Laurel was adopted a little over a month ago and returned about a week ago because she wasn’t the biggest fan of the 14 year old dog in the house. Sometimes things don’t work out and that’s ok!! We will always gladly take our cats back, and Laurel has been running around happily with all of the cats since being back. She is about 6 months old now and ready for her true forever home. Patience is key! 💕
Polly Anne has a quick little PSA to get out to the world of everyone who follows us. We are partnered with Almost Home in Patchogue and get all of our cats through them. We can not take in cats otherwise, so PLEASE don’t get mad at us when you call us and we tell you the facts of how we run.
Come say hi to S’mores!!!! He’s waiting!! And sweeter than an actual s’more!!!
This cat is pure heaven and I doubt we will have him for long. His name is Silver and he’s 3 years old and perfect. The other cats are VERY confused by him it’s hilarious to watch them watch him prance around the room 🤣 He was just neutered last week so he might still have that testosterone filled male scent to him, or they just like his flowing locks and flat face. Either way he’s here and deserves a new home. He’s a gentle boy who would do well in any home ❤️ We are open all day today.
We will never in a million years separate our bonded pairs. I don’t care if it takes them 10x as long to get adopted as it would if we split them up, I’d rather them be here with each other than in a new home, separated. We don’t bond cats for OUR benefit, we just respect them when THEY bond. PollyAnn & Spice met here a few months ago and they have been inseparable ever since. Spice reminds PollyAnn that she’s safe and she follows his lead. We see them on the cameras rolling around and chasing each other at night, and we watch them share snacks and cuddle in between grooming each other all day ❤️ If you’d like a young pair of lovers and have a patient, gentle heart, they’re the pair for you
Checkers and Black Beauty have been here for a little over two months now and are just starting to get used to cafe life. They lived the majority of their lives outside but with a ton of love from the caregivers in the area. If you’re willing to be patient and give them time either of them (or both!) would love a forever home. Maybe one with a huge window where they can watch outside life. 💕
Brody is doing a lot better with accepting our love but he definitely needs some more time to truly open up. The best thing to do with shy cats like these, is to give them consistent love and affection a little more each day, respect their boundaries, and be patient. He’s the most gentle soul in the world 🤍
Lucy & Ziggy’s meals are the favorite part of our day. We are so lucky to have this dynamic duo with us ❤️ #bondedpair
Oh Kallie ❤️ Why do you look so worried all the time? This pretty girl always seems to have a lot on her mind like a worried mother. I’d bet anything that she’s birthed a litter or 2 by the way she cares for the cats and kittens we have. She also has a very playful side and LOVES laser time with her roommates! She’s 4 years old and would do well in a home with other cats.
You can almost always find Bianca hidden away in her favorite cat tree watching all of the action at the cafe but if you take a minute and spend some time with her you’ll see just how sweet she is. She loves to be pet and pulls you back in when you try to walk away and just cannot get enough love. This 4year old beauty would do well in any home that is filled with love ❤️
Meet Caleb
Meet Sabrina ❤️ This beautiful grey lady is the mother of tiny little grey Percy and she’s not much bigger than him!!! Poor Sabrina is about 6 months old and has already been through childbirth and deserves some carefree play time like the baby she is. She’s the sweetest most gentle little princess, with an old soul (like her son) and would do great in any home.
Spay & neuter your cats please. A large part of having a cat cafe is educating the public on things they might not know or realize. The amount of kittens being born ALREADY this season is pure insanity, while all the shelters and rescues are full of adults who wait and wait for another chance to find love. There aren’t nearly enough resources to bring more and more kittens into the world. This isn’t a post about how adults are better than kittens, but about how important it is to do our part in stopping more and more cats from being born and ending up homeless. At the very least, please make sure your pets are spayed and neutered ❤️ No cat leaves the cafe with the ability to make babies 🛑
