HANSON NEEDS YOUR HELP!

One-year-old Hanson needs your help! Early Sunday morning he was in his kennel when staff arrived to find him lethargic with shallow labored breathing with a cough. He was rushed to the emergency vet and on the way, blood started to drip from his nose. Panic started to set in for all of us.

We are very grateful for Atlantic coast who acted quickly and were patient with Hanson who is very fearful at the vet. Chest X-rays and diagnostic testing confirmed Hanson has a severe case of pneumonia. They are keeping him under 24-hour monitoring and treating him at Atlantic Coast.

The treatment is going well. As of last night, he is not oxygen dependent and he even ate some of his food. Hanson is so young and full of life - we are hoping he bounces back quickly but We need your help!

Our current emergency vet budget is NEGATIVE $2,045.81 which is owed to Atlantic Coast from a previous emergency. Hanson's bill was $3,358.75. But he has to stay overnight, again, which will cost at least another $500 to $1,000. That is going to put the rescue in further debt totaling over $6,000.

Hanson is a staff and volunteers favorite. He is loved by all who know him. Our AH supporters started spreading the word quickly and $700 towards his care was raised last night. But we still have a ways to go! We desperately need to cover the other $6,000 that is due to Atlantic Coast.

If LOVE could pay the bills, our rescue would be rich! We have the most amazing staff and volunteers and supporters.

Please donate what you can, there is no such thing as a small donation. Small acts of kindness make huge impacts.
