Donald Trump, having been impeached twice during his presidency, currently holds the distinction of being the inaugural ex-president to encounter criminal charges.

A New York grand jury has issued an indictment against him.

Although the charges remain undefined, the attention of the case has been centered on his involvement in paying $130,000 in hush money to adult film actress, Stormy Daniels.

Friday's news prompted a response from the residents of Long Island.

According to Arnold Koenig, a resident of New Hyde Park, he is present to protect himself and should not be considered guilty until proven so.

Frank Puig, a resident of Mineola, expressed his enthusiasm by stating that he finds it wonderful and hopes that the remaining cases in which he is involved also continue in the same fashion, which would be beneficial to the country.

"The law is immutable and applies to all individuals without exception," declared Leonard Comithidr.

This is all occurring against the backdrop of a campaign for the presidency.

The potential weekend protests have garnered attention from Nassau County police and the local GOP.

According to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, everyone is welcome in Nassau County and they have the right to express themselves.

Commissioner Patrick Ryder of the Nassau County Police Department stated that those who are arriving, claiming their support for Trump, are planning to display their banners within a designated free speech area. He added that there should not be any problems for attendees upon entering and exiting the gathering.

On Thursday evening, Representative George Santos utilized Twitter to support Trump, expressing his concern over the indictment. He strongly believes that utilizing the justice system to target a political opponent poses a clear risk to both the nation and democracy. According to him, rather than conducting political witch hunts, DA Alvin Bragg should concentrate on prosecuting crimes in NYC.

As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who may challenge Trump, will be present in Uniondale for a book tour during the weekend.

According to Ryder, those who are attending claim to support Trump and will be waving their flags. They will remain within a designated area for free speech and everyone is expected to enter and exit the event without any troubles.
