SYOSSET, N.Y. — Syosset High School student Kelsie Chin has been selected as an official contestant in the 2027 Miss Long Island Teen Pageant, and the rising junior is now seeking support from local businesses and community members as she prepares to represent her community in the competition.

Chin, who will enter her junior year at Syosset High School, is raising funds to help cover the $795 pageant fee. Local businesses and supporters can sponsor her participation, with sponsors receiving recognition in the Official Miss Long Island Teen Program Book.

Contributions of any amount are welcomed, including sponsorships of $50, $100 or $125.

Beyond the pageant stage, Chin has already built an impressive record of athletics, service and community involvement.

She competes as a USA Gymnastics Level 10 gymnast, an achievement that reflects years of training, discipline and commitment. Level 10 is the highest level in the USA Gymnastics Development Program before the elite level.

Chin is also involved with the American Red Cross and has taken leadership roles in initiatives aimed at helping children and underserved communities.

She is a co-founder of Community Canvas, an initiative dedicated to bringing art and messages of encouragement to hospitalized children.

Her service also extends to the Paeonia Medical Initiative, a 501(c)-certified nonprofit organization where Chin serves as an executive board member. Through the organization, she says thousands of medical supplies have been donated to underserved communities.

“As someone who is passionate about serving my community, I am involved in the American Red Cross and compete as a USAG Level 10 gymnast,” Chin said in her sponsorship appeal. “I also co-founded Community Canvas, an initiative that brings art and encouragement to hospitalized children.”

For Chin, participating in the Miss Long Island Teen Pageant offers another opportunity to represent the community while continuing to highlight the causes and service work that are important to her.

“I truly appreciate your support and would be honored to represent our community throughout this journey,” Chin said.
