In Mastic, NY, a 19-year-old resident was apprehended for allegedly pilfering approximately $8,000 from BJ's Wholesale Club in Riverhead. The theft occurred during his employment as a gas station attendant last year, according to police.
Wilmer O. Genis Perez was apprehended by Riverhead Town police on Tuesday at 10:19 a.m. He faces a third-degree grand larceny charge, classified as a felony in connection with the alleged theft of $8,000 from BJ's Wholesale Club in Riverhead during his tenure as a gas station attendant.
After receiving a report detailing the theft between May and June 2023, Genis Perez underwent processing and was subsequently arraigned at Riverhead Justice Court, according to the police.
