One teen has died and five other people have been injured in a collision in Port Jefferson Station.

One adolescent was fatally wounded and five other individuals endured injury in an overnight collision involving two vehicles on Long Island.

The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, March 11, at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the Port Jefferson Station area.

A Suffolk County Police statement reported that an 18-year-old Islandia youth driving a 2019 Honda Accord headed east when he tried to turn left and was hit at the intersection by a westbound 2022 Ford Bronco.

A 16-year-old male passenger in the Honda, identified as Isaac Ruiz, a resident of Medford, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead.

The 19-year-old driver of the Ford from Miller Place, and both drivers of the Honda along with the three passengers in the Honda--a 16-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, and a 15-year-old female--were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.
