On July, 28, 2025, a man was severely injured during a bar fight in Farmingville, NY. According to the police, it happened at the El Charro restaurant at 11pm Sunday night. This all came about when a group of men ignited a fight with two brothers sitting at a bar. The ages of these men have not been revealed. Two of the brothers were hospitalized as one of them was stabbed in the abdomen. As a man in my 20s in todays world, a night out or catching up with a friend at a bar nonetheless, may be risky as any situation can lead to fighting, shootings, or seen before stabbings. I feel like at large crowds, especially ones that serve alcohol at late periods of time, should have more security to prevent these events from happening. I completely understand if loud music was playing, dark lighting was shown and nobody seen this happening until it escalated quickly. Overall this shouldn't excuse anybody from including violence in any conversation and future confrontations. Long Island has been more common with these types of scenarios happening often and many are fearful to leave their house at certain times of the day. As compared to the city, the crime rate has increased and I as many others are looking forward to more safety precautions being put into place for a more safe and secure environment. Have a great weekend everyone! Enjoy the sunny weather and always remember to put on sunscreen:)
