Woman Caught With Loaded Gun In Early-Morning Long Island Traffic Stop: Police
A Flordia woman was arrested after Long Island police found a fully-loaded gun in her car, authorities said.
According to the Nassau County police, at approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, Cristine Robles from Bradenton, Florida, was stopped during a legal traffic stop in Valley Stream.
When Robles was stopped close to Green Acres Road West, it was purportedly discovered that she had a loaded firearm inside a handbag that was positioned on the passenger seat.
There was no resistance during Robles' arrest, and her vehicle was seized by the police.
Robles faces charges of:
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (two counts)
Possession of a weapon charges include fourth-degree, second-degree and two counts of third-degree criminal charges.
