Double Shooting: Suspect At Large After 2 Female Victims Found On Long Island Roadway

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of two women who were shot on a roadway in Long Island.

The occurrence took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, within the confines of Hempstead.

It was at Polk Avenue that the Hempstead Police officers attended to a ShotSpotter activation.

Upon reaching the location, the officers came across both individuals showing signs of having been shot. They were taken to hospitals located in the vicinity for medical attention.

Nassau County Police report that one of the victims is in a stable condition while the other one is in critical condition.

The detectives are urging anyone who has any information to get in touch with Nassau County Crime Stoppers by dialing 1-800-244-TIPS or by calling 911, and they guarantee that all callers will remain anonymous.
