4 individuals were arrested in connection with a kidnapping and robbery at knife point on Long Island.

Baldwin Nassau County 

A total of four people from Long Island are facing charges for their involvement in a suspected robbery that occurred while brandishing a knife against a man aged 24.

On Monday, March 20 at 11:55 p.m., an occurrence happened on School Drive in Baldwin, which is located in Nassau County.

As per the authorities' statement, the suspects forced the victim into their vehicle and drove off. Using a knife, they forcefully took the victim's phone and wallet while they were inside the car.

Police reported that the victim was coerced into the suspect's car and driven away. While in the car, the suspects used a knife to forcibly take the victim's wallet and cell phone.

According to the police, the suspects were given the victim's belongings as he was afraid for his life.

The victim was made to leave the vehicle by the suspects at the junction of North Main Street and Randall Avenue in Freeport, after which they fled in a direction that is unknown.

To report the incident, the victim went to the Freeport Police station.

As per the police report, the injuries sustained by the victim were minor.

The four individuals were arrested without any trouble by Freeport Police after being discovered on Guy Lombardo Avenue and Southside Avenue following a comprehensive investigation.

The accused are Brian Gonzalez Valdez, a 25-year-old from Freeport, who was charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, kidnapping, and criminal possession of a weapon. Waldi Victoriano Perez, a 23-year-old from Freeport, Edily Durancanela, a 26-year-old from West Hempstead, and Alexis Collado, a 39-year-old from Freeport were also charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, kidnapping, and assault.

All four individuals were detained and they are scheduled to appear in Hempstead on Wednesday, March 22 for arraignment.
