Huntington Station Man Seriously Wounded in Stabbing in Huntington Station Sunday Night
A Huntington Station man was arrested late Sunday night after allegedly stabbing another man inside a Deli on Depot Road in Huntington Station around 10 pm. Two men got into a verbal argument inside the Las Lajas Deli located at 156 Depot Road, when one of the men, Adelcy Almendarez a 50-year-old Huntington Station resident took out a knife and started stabbing the other man multiple times.
The 40-year-old victim was stabbed several times in the neck, chest and abdomen, and was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
Suffolk Police arrested Almendarez at the scene, and charged him with 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He was held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned today, May 13, at First District Court in Central Islip.
