Arrests Made in Connection with Body Parts Found Last Week
Suffolk County Police have made several arrests in connection with the body parts found in the last week in Babylon, West Babylon and Bethpage. The original discovery made in Babylon last Thursday morning by a group of students walking to school in Babylon led to the discovery of other dump sites in West Babylon and also in the Bethpage State park.
Police have arrested three Amityville residents and one homeless individual in connection with the grizzly discoveries recently made which included severed legs and arms of two individuals. Homicide Squad Detectives have charged Steven Brown, 44, of 25 Railroad Avenue in Amityville, Jeffrey Mackey 38, of 25 Railroad Avenue, in Amityville, Amanda Wallace Wallace 40, of 25 Railroad Avenue in Amityville, and Alexis Nieves 33, who is homeless, all with hindering prosecution 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, and concealment of a human corpse.
All four suspects were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 6, and released without bail. The suspects have been forced to wear ankle monitors.
