The timing for the Nor'easter, which is expected to bring heavy rain and 40 MPH wind gusts to the region, has been updated. Here's the latest information.

A complex East Coast storm, expected to impact the region for several days, has made its arrival ahead of the initial predictions.

Rainfall from the system that started overnight has intensified during the Friday, October 20th morning commute.

Steady rain is expected at various points throughout the day on Friday and into Friday evening, with the likelihood of it continuing overnight and into Saturday morning, October 21st.

Additionally, there's a possibility of heavier downpours and the potential for rumbles of thunder, as indicated by the National Weather Service.

On Friday, the high temperature is expected to be in the low 60s. As for Saturday, lingering showers are anticipated throughout the region, and New England can expect wind-swept rain for much of the day.

The high temperature for Saturday is projected to be around 60 degrees.

Anticipate a widespread inch-and-a-quarter of rainfall from the Nor'easter in parts of northwest Connecticut. Meanwhile, Western Massachusetts, as well as northern sections of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, could experience up to 4 inches of rainfall.

According to AccuWeather.com, the most significant impact of the storm will be in New England and the Canadian Maritimes. However, other areas in the Northeast can also expect some showers and gusty winds.

Expect wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour throughout the weekend.

Sunday, October 22nd, is expected to become partly sunny. The high temperature will reach the mid-50s, but breezy conditions and strong wind gusts may make it feel cooler.

There is some uncertainty regarding the track, timing, and strength of the weekend storm system. However, Monday, October 23, is expected to be sunny and pleasant, with a high temperature in the upper 50s.
