The Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO) invites the community to experience the magic of the season at the 46th Annual Holiday Festival in Stony Brook Village on Sunday, December 7, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. This beloved tradition, free and open to all, promises an afternoon filled with festive performances, family fun, and holiday spirit.The celebration begins with The School of Rock “Rock n’ Roll” Choir at 1:00 p.m., followed by a charming performance by the St. James Junior Choir at 1:30 p.m. at the Stony Brook Post Office—just in time to welcome Santa Claus, who will arrive at 2:00 p.m. to greet children and take photos until 4:45 p.m. Starting November 28, children can also send their letters to Santa using the special red “Mail for Santa” mailbox located at the Post Office.Festival highlights include the WMHO Youth Corps’ Scavenger Hunt, where participants can win gift certificates and prizes, and the ever-popular Legends & Spies Puppet Procession, which steps off at 2:15 p.m. Following the procession, enjoy a lively holiday dance performance by Roseland Dance Studio at 3:00 p.m.From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., WALK 97.5 will play music in Inner Court, where visitors can also meet the Steppin’ Out Ponies petting zoo from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Throughout the day, guests can admire the beautifully decorated trees in the Holiday Tree Festival and vote for their favorite from December 7 through December 22.
