Police: 3 killed, including 11-year-old girl, in Holbrook crash

According to authorities, a collision that occurred in Holbrook on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the deaths of three individuals, one of whom was a child.

Around 1:20 p.m., a 74-year-old Shoreham resident named Emmanuel Dandrea was driving his SUV in the westbound direction of Veterans Memorial Highway. He tried to make a left turn, heading toward southbound Coates Avenue, and crashed into a 2002 Honda motorcycle that was traveling in the eastbound direction of Veterans Memorial Highway.

At the scene, law enforcement declared Alaaeldien Elfaham, a 23-year-old from Deer Park, and Dandrea both dead following the accident involving the motorcycle.

Alanna Lika, an 11-year-old from Holbrook who was a passenger in the SUV, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she passed away due to her injuries.

The young girl, who was 8 years old, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital to receive medical attention for injuries that were not believed to be fatal.
