Farmingville
The police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a 12-year-old missing boy from Long Island.
Suffolk County Police report that Mertcan Cakmak left his residence in Farmingville, situated on Waverly Avenue, on a bicycle sometime in the night of Sunday, March 12. His family reported him absent at around 5:45 a.m. the following day, Monday, March 13.
Investigators assume that he may be trying to make his way to the Bronx.
Cakmak is reported to have white complexion, 5 feet and 5 inches in height, approximate weight of 150 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes and a scar over his eye. He was wearing ripped jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt when he was last seen, and he has braces.
