Police Arrest Woman in Connection with Wyandanch Hit-and-Run that Left Bicyclist in Critical Condition
Wyandanch, NY - A bicyclist is in critical condition and a woman has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash in Wyandanch, Suffolk County police announced Saturday.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday, August 2, when a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the injured bicyclist behind. First responders arrived at the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Following a police investigation, the driver was located and taken into custody. The woman, whose identity has not been released at this time, has been charged in connection with the hit-and-run.
Suffolk County Police have not yet released additional details about the crash, including the location, the time of the incident, or the specific charges the woman is facing.
