Trooper Steven Nevel stated that Edward V. Holley, a 42-year-old resident of Wawayanda in Orange County, was apprehended on April 20th on the grounds of having caused the death of a 20-year-old individual.
The field off Bowser Road in the town of Wallkill, Orange County was where McDonald's body was discovered on Saturday, March 15, 2003.
According to Nevel, it was identified that her white Mercury Sable, manufactured in 1991, was found in a parking lot situated in an apartment complex in Wallkill town two days after.
Nevel stated that blunt force trauma was identified as the reason for the individual's demise.
McDonald was employed at the Galleria Mall in Middletown and also enrolled in SUNY Orange County Community College at the time of her passing.
Holley is in custody at the Orange County Jail with no possibility of bail.
