Lawrence Jonap August 25, 1941 - December 3, 2024

Lawrence Jonap, 83, of Kings Park, passed away on December 3, 2024. Born in the Bronx, Lawrence grew up in New York City. Enlisting in the military in 1960, he worked as an electrician and served the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. After the Navy Lawrence became a well-loved charter bus driver transporting many civic organization groups and college sports teams over the years. He really enjoyed this and traveling all over the eastern seaboard. Lawrence is preceded in death by his father Nathan and mother Lillian (Sherman) as well as his brother Myron. He is survived by his children: Lawrence M. Jonap (Karen), Hope Vento (Salvatore), Bethany Watts (Carl), and Sheryl. Grandchildren include Adam, Kyle, Phoenix and Bryan. A celebration of Lawrence’s life is planned for March 8 in Austin, Texas.
