Riverhead Man Asked Child For Sexual Contact: Police
Police arrested a man from Long Island for committing a sexual offense against a minor.
On Wednesday, May 17, Southampton Police took a 51-year-old resident of Riverhead named Wuilyan Pirir Camey into custody for committing a sexual offense.
The Southampton Police Department was notified of an alleged offense against an 11-year-old child from Flanders two weeks prior to the arrest.
Authorities alleged that Pirir Camey was discovered to have sent messages to the child in which he requested sexual contact during an investigation.
The charges against Pirir Camey include attempted sexual abuse in the first degree and endangerment of a child's well-being.
He remained in custody until his arraignment on Thursday, May 18th, and was freed on a bail of $1,000.
