New Update: Gunman Nabbed In Killing Of 33-Year-Old Long Island Man In Parking Lot, Police Say

Authorities have reported that they have apprehended a suspect in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old man who was discovered dead from gunshot wounds outside a residential complex on Long Island. The suspect is currently in custody.

According to Nassau County Police, Ronnie Sutton, a 49-year-old resident of Long Beach, was taken into custody on Thursday, April 20 in relation to Shawn Usher's demise.

Almost 14 days later, law enforcement officials apprehended Usher after he was discovered with several gunshot injuries by emergency responders at roughly 10:40 p.m. on Friday, April 7, in a parking area at the National Boulevard situated Channel Park complex in Long Beach.

According to the authorities, Usher, who resided in Long Beach, passed away at the hospital, and no one else was harmed.

The detectives refrained from making any assumptions about the reason behind the murder.

Sutton was charged with second-degree murder and two instances of possessing a weapon for criminal purposes in the second degree.

Later on Thursday, he was anticipated to appear for arraignment at First District Court located in Hempstead.
