Teen Kidnaps, Assaults Victim Using Pipe On Long Island, Police Say

According to the police, a woman was kidnapped, threatened, and physically attacked by a teenager, who was later arrested on Long Island.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, officers were contacted at 4 a.m. on Monday, April 17 in Lawrence by an unidentified victim.

The woman informed the authorities that Inwood's Christian Leiva-Aguilar, who is 19 years old, abducted her.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the adolescent had given a ride to the victim earlier in the day, but had engaged in a dispute with them.

According to authorities, as the altercation increased, Leiva-Aguilar would not allow the victim to leave the car and assaulted her with numerous punches to the face and a pipe.

It is alleged that he used the pipe to break the victim's phone and took $300 from her before she managed to flee.

Following a traffic stop on Lawrence Avenue, Leiva-Aguilar was located by the police and subsequently arrested.

Leiva-Aguilar is charged with:

  • Second-degree kidnapping
  • Second-degree assault
  • Third-degree assault
  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Third-degree criminal mischief
  • Second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument

According to the police, his arraignment is set to take place on Monday, April 17 at First First Court.
