In Loving Memory of Dr. Adam N. Hurewitz
Beloved Husband, Father, Stepfather, Grandfather, Physician, Educator, and Friend
For over thirty years, Dr. Adam N. Hurewitz devoted his life to medicine and the education of future physicians. A gifted teacher and compassionate clinician, he touched countless lives.
Even as illness made him a patient himself, Adam faced every challenge with quiet courage and grace, continuing to inspire those around him. His quick wit and use of sarcasm was always present no matter what he was facing.
His greatest joy was his family. With his beloved Maritza, he embraced their life together and stepped wholeheartedly into the role of father for his two daughters Vanessa (Jason) and Stephanie, and her three children Daniel (Oksana), Brian, and Laurie (Marcie). Nothing made him happier than time with his grandchildren Eric, Taryn, Julia, Madeleine, Nathaniel, and Paloma—especially cheering them on at their games, sharing his hobbies, and celebrating every accomplishment, big and small.
Beyond the hospital walls and lecture halls, Adam had many passions. He found joy in golf, photography, painting, gardening, playing the drums, and so much more. He lived a life of creativity, depth, and zest.
To know Adam was to love him. His legacy of kindness, courage, and love will live on through his family and friends.
May his memory be a blessing.
