Teen Arrested for Stabbing Another Teen at Smith Point Beach
A 18-year-old Sayville Teenager was arrested Saturday night for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old Teenager at Smith Point's Beach during an altercation at Smith's Point Beach.
Alexander Murphy was on the outer beach of Smith Point Beach in Shirley, when he allegedly stabbed a 17-year-old in the back during a confrontation at 6:07 p.m. The victim who is not being identified because of his age, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Murphy, 18, of Sayville, was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. He was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip upon being released from the Hospital.
