Brentwood Man Arrested for Murder in Central Islip Killing Sunday Morning
Clark Street in Brentwood, Credit Google MapsSuffolk County Homicide Squad Detectives arrested a 21-year-old Brentwood man for the murder of a 46-year-old Central Islip man on June 22, 2025. Homicide Squad Detectives arrested 21-year-old Alexander Reyes from Brentwood last night following the death of Alexander Valesquez on June 22.
Velasquez, of Central Islip was found in a parking lot located at 159 Clark Street in Brentwood at 4:40 am on the morning of the 22nd. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and Homicide Squad Detectives ruled the man’s death criminal in nature.
Reyes has been charged with Murder 2nd Degree. He is currently being held at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned today, June 24, at the First District Court in Central Islip.
