Babylon Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Man in Bay Shore Thursday Night

Suffolk County Police arrested a Babylon man Thursday night after he allegedly killed another man in Bay Shore early Thursday night. During an altercation Thursday night on Main Street in Bay Shore.

During an altercation, James Rogers allegedly struck Mark Iacono multiple times in the parking lot located at 107 East Main Street at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Iacono,65, of Patchogue was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. Rogers remained on scene where he was arrested.

Following an investigation, Rogers 66 of Babylon was charged with Manslaughter 1st Degree. He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct, and had his first Court appearance was Friday February 28 at the First District Court in Central Islip

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
