Suffolk Police Investigating Possible Murder Suicide in Lindenhurst

Suffolk County Homicide Squad Detectives are investigating an apparent murder suicide that happened in Lindenhurst Monday afternoon. First precinct officers responded to a call of a male gunshot victim lying in the front yard of 369 Nevada street with a gunshot to the chest at 3:57 p.m. The male victim has been identified as 66 year old, Mark Gusciora, of 369 Nevada street.

A short while later, around 5:09 p.m. a second gunshot victim, Augustyn Jean, a 69 year old homeless male, was found in his car at 455 park avenue in Lindenhurst. Jean was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives suspect that the deaths are related, and it is a probable murder- suicide.
