Rusty is a 7yr old ginger tom cat with a big heart. He was found as a stray in a local colony and brought into a loving home by a young girl who was working on TNR'ing the colony. We are not sure if he was previously neutered under TNR or if he was taken from the colony by another family who saw his loving personality and had him vetted. But unfortunately, Rusty was returned to the same place he was taken from.

He is a bit cautious, but who wouldn't be, after thinking that he finally found his forever home only to be tossed outside again to fend for himself.

He has been thoroughly checked out by our vet and except for having 2 teeth removed, is in good health.

He is a bit shy, but once he gets to know that you will not hurt him or remove him from his bed, he relaxes. He just needs some extra TLC to bring out his "ginger" personality.

Most ginger cats are known to have an even temperament, are affectionate, and are more friendly than your average house cat. Rusty loves other cats and can be found snuggling up with the others in the free-roaming cat room.

Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter

How can you resist this face? Luna came to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter after her family couldn’t take her and spent the last 8 years of her life in a home. She is friendly with people and other cats! Please don’t let Luna stay here too long. TOHAS Wantagh.

Dogs like Parker is why we do what we do! Parker came to us completed matted and you could see sadness written all over his face. With the help of our wonderful foster and groomer we were able to give Parker a wonderful transformation. After his groom he turned into a completely different dog look wise and personality. He was happy, jumping and prancing around.
Parker is a 3 year old Mini poodle. He is dog friendly and ready for life outside of the breeding world.
