A man from Long Island who admitted to several armed robberies has received a ten-year prison sentence.

The Suffolk County District Attorney announced that Jvon Creighton, a 27-year-old resident of Mastic, was sentenced on Thursday, April 13th.

In September 2022, Creighton admitted guilt for his involvement in numerous armed robberies that took place in Suffolk County during 2021.

Through investigations and the admission of guilt by Creighton, it has been revealed that from October to December of the same year, Creighton and his accomplice Marcus Brown, a 34-year-old resident of Coram, were involved in six separate incidents of armed robberies.

According to the statement made by the District Attorney, Creighton and Brown brandished firearms and requested money from the victims.

Suffolk County DA Raymond A. Tierney described the robberies as brutal and alleged that Creighton was under parole supervision when he committed them.

Facial wounds caused by pistol-whipping required 25 sutures to close for one victim.

The gun assault took place during the pair's previous robbery, when Brown struck a 7-Eleven employee twice in the head with his weapon, resulting in bleeding and injuries to the face.

The District Attorney stated that Creighton and Brown took nearly $10,000 in total during their multiple robberies.

Creighton admitted his guilt for the offenses of:

- Four counts of first-degree robbery
- Four counts of second-degree robbery
- Second-degree assault

In October 2022, Brown was subjected to a 10-year prison sentence.
