On Monday around 2:50 p.m., officers stopped Joseph G. Worysz, 27, for a vehicle-and-traffic infraction on Bridge Lane in Cutchogue. During the stop, police discovered an open alcoholic beverage in the center console. A further search revealed a cooler on the passenger seat containing a loaded .40‑caliber semi‑automatic handgun .

Worysz was arrested and charged with the following:
