Suspected road-rage shooter apprehended with drugs on Long Island, as reported by the police.
A man reportedly fired multiple shots at another driver in a road-rage incident on Long Island. Following the incident, he was discovered in possession of drugs, according to authorities.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Marcquise Porter, 22, allegedly attempted to shoot a 24-year-old man, firing twice and striking the victim's car on Paff Avenue in Uniondale. Fortunately, the victim escaped injury.
On Monday, Porter was apprehended in West Hempstead. Upon his arrest, officers reportedly discovered crack cocaine in his possession. Additionally, Porter had an outstanding bench warrant related to unauthorized vehicle use in May.
Porter was charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal mischief, menacing and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
His arraignment was spending Tuesday.
